5K training update from Deborah

Hi everyone,

Feeling very lucky to have David training us… I showed up to our recent training session with some seriously tight muscles, an unfocused mind and was discouraged about my ability to keep on running. I was honest with Dave about my situation and he ordered a session of stretching and strength training. As we worked out, David kept offering stories of his various setbacks and how he overcame them. By the end of the hour, not only did I feel physically better, my mind was calm and my motivation back on track. I honestly think that if I was doing this alone I would have stopped running and said it was too difficult for my body to endure; but with our training group, I feel like part of a team and that running is possible and I want to succeed.
