Day 3 of 5k Training

Hi everyone!

I just completed Day 3 of my 5k training and yes, I am still LOVING it!

We seem to be pushing ourselves each session with a bit more cardio and mixing up strengthening exercises with running and stair climbing in the building (yes, stairs because it is too cold and snowy to run outside). We use each floor of the building and accompanying stairwell as our playground manouervering around the patient maintenance staff as we speed past them.

Admittedly, I have never really run up so many stairs before and wow, was I surprised by how quickly I was winded. At least the stairs were short enough that I was able catch my breath while running on each floor. I wonder whether I will ever look at stairs the same way…

For now, I enjoy climbing them- not to say that won’t change if our trainer David, makes it tougher for us… But then again, with my increasing stamina and strength, I may not even notice! Until I write again… Bye for now!
