We can do it!

David & Deborah

Our Alive to Strive race day is fast approaching – practically here!  – and guess what?  I successfully completed a practice 5km run/walk with my trainer, David, and fellow kidney patient, Gary. I was thrilled with my result: 34 minutes! My face stayed a deep shade of red for well over an hour and I felt a deep sense of satisfaction that lasted well into the night. I enjoyed it so much that I can’t wait for Sunday’s race. I hope that some of you will come and say hello to me and share your running experience as well. The energy I feel is a bit intoxicating; I hope it is that way for all of you, as well.

See you this Sunday morning, April 29, for the Alive to Strive Race – we can do it!

Deborah is participating in our 5km training sessions in preparation for this year’s Alive to Strive Race on April 29. She has been blogging about her training as she progresses towards race day.
